I designed this holder tray to display some old pewter shot glasses and build it using some old door jamb material salvaged from a reno of a nineteen sixties house.

The jamb material only provided short length of nail free pieces but still useful for this type of project.

I cut up the jamb and laminated the pieces exposing the edge grain and used some maple trimmings as accent strips.

The handle ends are formed using a router and template setup and the legs and curved stretchers are jatoba flooring offcuts mortised into the underside of the tray.

It was a fun project to build and repurposing old material made it even more interesting.
